Sky was an artist, who painted from life Everything he saw, ingrained in his mind His teacher said “Sky, won't you paint God?” Sky told the teacher, “I don't know what to draw.” Caleb was a writer with nothing to write Traveled around the country in search for the light Never did find it, now he's back at home His mama says “Write about what you know.” She says, "Ooo baby, if you take your time You're bound to find moments in which pieces align" "Ooo now, mama, when's it gonna come" Questions posed by the children of Allison Marie Antoinette, the imperial child Kept to herself while her siblings went wild Her mother would say, “Girl, revolution will come. And you never know what you got until it's gone.” Landon the librarian, surrounded by text Late night reading, wondering what's next His mother would say, “You know the hour is late.” In which Landon replied, "I'll just sleep through the day." She says, "Ooo baby, if you close your eyes You're bound to miss moments in which pieces align" "Ooo now, pretty mama, it all weighs a ton" Sorrows sung by the children of Allison Kite was a drifter, moving with the wind From town to town, just trying to fit in Packed up his sorrows, stocked up on strength His mother writes, “Every dog will have his day.”

Heavy Load 03:02
Well if they told you once Then they told you twice It will be told a million times And if you did it then You'll do it again And again until the end of time He was a wildfire fed by his desires It was the rain put out his light It was the heavy load, oh the heavy load Yes, the heavy Load that crushed him You were a lonely kid high on oxygen High on always being right They let you carol on with your Santa Clause Then they killed him, boy, he died And now your magic’s gone to some great beyond Cause every word you’ve heard’s a lie It was the heavy load, yes the heavy load Came down that heavy load to knock you out Oh, the heavy load, oh that heavy load Came down the heavy load to beat you down Well you're a skeptic now You don't talk so loud You won't speak to quick Or hand it out Once an open book Now a covered mouth Keep it to yourself, keep it hid But every once awhile There's a spark ignites that reminds you of that fire It was the heavy load, oh the heavy load Yeah the heavy load that knocked you out Oh will the heavy load, oh that heavy load The heavy load that knocked you down

Shelter, be my wife Be my signage out on the road Be a silent word under fire when I’ve lost control And shelter be my sleep When I’m staring out at the night Shelter keep my time, as the hours pass me by Said the man to the sky “What you want me to do? Get right down to my knees Sing a song made for you? I’m on empty tonight, feeling honest Feeling that time” Said the sky to the man “I just want you to see Everything inside you Is a song writ by me You’re a singer tonight, I’m the song That’s written in time.” Shelter be my road When the dust bowl cover my eyes Be the spoken word when my lips can’t find a line And shelter be my dream When the nightmare conquers my soul Oh c’mon Shelter, Be there when I fall

Set in Stone 05:20
This clay is malleable He thinks he's infallible Out in the streets with his pride Rummage through the garbage cans Spends no time to make a plan Out in the streets wasting time But she's so set in stone I see you standing there Make no time for any errors Up in the sky dressed in gold Rummage through another page Spend your time in worlds so strange But all the time you're at home Cause you're so set in Stone

Red roses could never say what I'm trying to tell Blue violets could not describe your pretty eyes too well When love seems so trivial you show me what it means to sacrifice Cause you're my lovely lady night Love's more like a road trip Two creatures unified Love's sharing a song you heard But from a distant time Love is our odometer Reminding both of us of every mile Oh you're my lovely lady night Thought the stars were as high as they go out in the city floating out in space But they go much higher dear, on the bridge that was crystal made Oh there is a mystery Hidden in the night Where I can see everything but nothing at the same time But I caught a shooting star Right from the corner of my eye And she was my lovely lady night I'll write you a love song Every once in a while And one of these days, my girl I'm bound to get it right Perfecting a love song Is just to have the stars all memorized Reveals your lady in the night She's your lovely lady night

Oh Lord, I've been feeling so tired Down in the day and up all night Hand on my throat, it feels so tight But the doctor says that she thinks I'm fine Is this affliction the one that I've read Working through my body or just playing with my head I feel so scared of the concept of death But I'm only 26 with the whole world ahead of me Oh Lord, oh Lord Oh Lord, oh Lord I didn't used to feel so panicked inside I once had control, some real piece of mind But I got busted, I'm doing hard time And feel's like the warden's ignoring my cries Oh warden, I'm a good guy Tell me am I crazy or is it really a sign How could you leave me so high and dry Tell me: What good's a life if any moment you could die? Oh warden, oh warden Oh warden, oh warden Foolish Achilles, casting out his reel Brought back an arrow that took out his heel He stole the time, now it's time's turn to steal And it ain't backin down no it's not gonna kneel Oh Lord, give me your eyes So I can stare through the abyss til it turns into light And in my time of dying I'll lie With a grin on my face and a joke on my mind Oh Lord, Oh Lord Oh Lord, Oh Lord
7.
Oh No! 03:21
Came two men at the door For a place they could rest overnight But poor Lot didn't know that the men had come to test his wife You must flee for your life, oh But don't look behind at the town Or else you'll be confined to a pillar Of salt in the ground Oh no no Oh no no Oh no no Baby let's go Came the comforting hand Of a lover who came to his side But poor Sam couldn't feel it when he put his own crimes on trial You must stand up with pride, oh But don't look behind, don't you doubt Or else you'll be confined to a tomb In your mind you dug out Oh no no Oh no no Oh no no Baby let's go

Wake up my sweet lady Here's a pair of brand new eyes For brand new days and brand new peace of mind May they see the best of things, your wildest dreams to light I hope your day's a piece of paradise Wake up pretty baby To a slow and velvet light For easy days that come in with the tide May you feel inspired from the day until the night I hope your days a piece of paradise If my hands could craft it I would build you blue eyed skies Your golden hair to make a sun you'd like If I could give half of what you give me in this life I'd owe my girl a piece of paradise I hope your day’s a piece of paradise

There were three men from Damascus Dragging their weight on the ground At the fork of the road each would split to find gold in the towns On arrival at the crossroads The three breaking bread, drinking wine They toasted goodbye on the edge of all yesterday’s skies Said the wise one to the others, “We’ll meet back in 15 years time. If the devil shall come when you’re down, don’t you pay him no mind. Keep your guns to your sides.” Jeremiah, on a mission Went cross the ocean to save All those innocent lives behind enemy lines in their way But every lifter needs a spotter And one Adam did ask for his Eve So he knelt to the ground with a prayer from his mouth to the sea Off the shore of uncharted waters, a crystal so pure caught his eye When he gave her his hand, she agreed Then he said, “My dear wife, we’ve got two friends to find.” There stood Trenton in the trenches Clutching his rifle to chest In his pocket a flask, in his heart was the task of goodbyes He’d been stationed round the country A young man with two callused eyes But he never did run, he just stared down the scope of his gun On the night of emancipation, the soldiers paraded around With a weight in his heart, Trenton had just one thought that he found: “To that crossroads I’m bound” It was Samuel, the town vagrant Begging for coin in his hat In return he would play them a song that he made days before On the street of beggar’s banquet On the isle of getting by Poor Sam didn’t know how to lift his own load in the snow But she came as mighty messenger She came there testing pride She came there as love, as a branch and a dove to remind: “Keep your gun to your side.” Reunited in Damascus Holding their weight on their backs Had been 15 years time since that yesterday sky was still theirs Back at home with some new friends And some new pairs of eyes They promised to build up the town that had been left behind

Good Company 05:49
There's always a reason, a reason to leave Cause you still got time, babe, for good company Oh, the medicine man he’s still working for free He’s waiting by the phone, waiting for you to ring Never mind the trends dear, they’re just another one night stand And never mind the laws made, they are changing with the wind There’s always a reason, a reason to know Cause you still got time, love, to make it to the show Oh, the eternal playwright’s still jotting down lines There’s a part for a skeptic who will believe it in time Never mind the fashions, they ain't lasting past the night Oh, and never mind the fads They come and go and then they die
